1970 Dodge Challenger 426 Hemi-1

Engine Size: 426 HEMI V8
Transmission Type: 4 Speed Manual
Primary Color: Red
Interior Color: Black
Mileage: 1377
Stock: 0B282621

This Dodge Challenger is one rarity with a full hemi-drivetrain and a complete nuts and bolts restoration.
The listing does say, ‘R/T Clone Convertible’, so this is really a fully converted resto mod, not a totally original classic. ‘ It was a 318/4-speed car from the factory.’
However, with a ‘buy it now’ price of US $115,900.00, this reflects the rarity of this ride.

This beautiful Hemi convertible has a California history! This Challenger started its life as a Bright Red convertible with a white top and white interior. It was a 318/4-speed car from the factory. This is a very rare car; 1 of 74 made! The restoration was started in 2005 and completed in 2008. We have a copy of the California title and registration. The original build sheet is framed and included in the sale.

History
The Dodge Challenger is the name of three different generations of automobiles marketed by the Dodge division of Chrysler. From 1969 to 1974, the first generation Dodge Challenger pony car was built using the Chrysler E platform, sharing major components with the Plymouth Barracuda.

The Challenger was described in a book about 1960s American cars as Dodge’s “answer to the Mustang and Camaro.” Introduced in fall 1969 for the 1970 model year, it was one of two Chrysler E-body cars, the other being the slightly smaller Plymouth Barracuda. The Challenger was available as a two-door in either a hardtop coupe or a convertible body design, and in two models for its introductory year.
