The 1969 Plymouth Road Runner was the first generation of the model and still stands as one of the classic designs of the era. This example may not have all the added options, but it is in great condition and has been treated to a rebuilt transmission lots of new parts.
The ad. Is a bit thin on the ground, but at least it does say the car has been given ‘New shocks,new leafs,halogen headlights,custom dash with new rally gauges,American Legends interior,new wheels and tires.’ It has the 383ci. V8 engine with four speed manual transmission, which has been completely re-built.
The interior is said to be by American Legends, with additional metalwork on the dash. This is obviously a personal preference thing, if kept by the next owner or not. The seats look fantastic in their blue and black color scheme, part of the reason why you buy into these vehicles for their vintage looks.
The Roadrunner is said to have no rust and this looks evident from the condition of the exterior, everything looking nice and gleaming. When a Road Runner or similar shaped muscle car is given top-notch detailing, I think they look arguably the most impressive of any vehicle of its time. Maybe this is due to its simple lines and lack of clutter to the eye. In any case, this is a Roadrunner in great condition.
The question is really just the asking price of $29,000 and if you think this is worth it for a straightforward but in great condition Roadrunner.
