We have barked on a few times about the negatives of directly comparing old and new vehicles.
However, this video is a bit different as the premise is to see how effective the aerodynamics were of the Dodge Charger Daytona.

The Dodge Daytona had a an 18 inch nose cone and 2 foot rear spoiler, which just like the Plymouth Superbird, gave a wild look, but the idea was to give some aerodynamic advantage. it seemed to have worked as the car dominated NASCAR over the next two seasons And in 1970, the first car to break the 200 miles an hour barrier at Talladega.
But, how effective were they really?

As a comparison a 1969 Dodge Charger R/T and a 2015 Dodge Charger Hellcat are thrown into the mix.

It’s worth watching this video to the end as it’s interesting stuff.
