Dirty Mary crazy Larry may not be one of those movies you immediately think of as featuring classic muscle cars, but one of the standout vehicles from this 1974 flick is an impressive 1969 Dodge Charger R/T.

The basic premise of the movie is Larry and Deke who are both racecar drivers, decide to rob a grocery store to fund a NASCAR vehicle for them to race. Initially, the robbers seems to go well, but then breaks down into a police pursuit and other high drama.

Being shot in 1974 you get period correct vehicles, but the obvious standout is the 1969 Dodge Charger R/T. The great thing about this movie is its long car chase scene and obvious great dip into the past of cars from the classic musclecar era. the biggest question is, what ever happened to the Charger in the movie? Like many vehicles of the time which featured on TV all the big screen, little was done to preserve their heritage. Street muscle Mag have a rundown what possibly happened to the Charger, but spoilers here is final fate is far more fuzzy than we would like.

Check out the chasing below the original movie trailer.
