1969 CHEVROLET CHEVELLE SS 396 For Sale At Reno

‘Chevy-built 60,499 SS 396 Sport Coupes that year, 333 of which were L89 models.
This one is a frame-off, fully documented, matching-numbers, nut-and-bolt restoration painstakingly done over a period of three years to insure absolute authenticity.
The goal was to restore this car to its condition just as it was when the owner took delivery in 1969.
This Chevelle has the original dealership order form and its original title.
The original engine was fully rebuilt. Other original special-order features include an F41 heavy-duty suspension with anti-sway bar, Gardner 2″ dual chamber exhaust, Strato bucket seats, M21 Muncie 4-speed with Hurst shifter, RPO U57 factory 8-track with four speakers, RPO U14 gauge package with clock, and a vinyl top.
All body repair was done using NOS or new panels.
No fiberglass was used.

The engine, transmission and rear end are original to this vehicle but have all been rebuilt. The original factory AM radio and factory 8-track have also been rebuilt and work perfectly.
It was restored to its original color of Olympic Gold with black vinyl top. It has been stored covered in a climate-controlled garage.
Since completing the restoration, this Chevelle has been shown three times and has won three times. These include one Best Engine in Show and two Best Restoration in Show. It is factory new in every way.’

As you can see from the description above, this 69 Chevelle is in immaculate condition. No surprising really as it’s going up for auction at Barrett Jackson.
You might not be getting a full-blown 454, only a 396 engine, but what you are getting is a well-documented numbers matching rarity that says Chevelle and you get a car that will hold its price years to come.
If you cannot have a 1970 454 Chevelle, this one will more than make up for the difference.
