The 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, which was stored for 40 years, was sold by Donnie Detzel to Ralph Bizzarro after Donnie’s physical condition started to deteriorate. the car was in fine condition with a 302 small block engine and matching numbers according to hot Rod magazine.

The car had not been out on the road since 1976, after Donnie bought the car in 1970 from a local couple who had lost their son fighting in Vietnam. They were looking to sell the vehicle and Donnie bought the Camaro for $1,200. After state modifications and stocking up on parts, the car was kept in storage until now.

This is a fantastic story of somebody who saw the worth of this vehicle from day one, stocks up on every part imaginable and kept it in good storage until now. You can check out the full story here at Hot Rod.
