The Chevy Nova in SS form is one of the greats of the musclecar era. It’s no wonder Quentin Tarantino chose the Nova along with the Dodge Challenger for the movie ‘Death Proof.’ The vehicle has that muscular, solid look which you can only get with the squared off designs of the time. This example is in great condition and a true SS model.
The exterior is a custom ‘mixed Gold’ with black stripes, so presumably this Nova has had a custom restoration job at sometime in the past. You have to click the ‘see full item description’ button to open up a page with all the information. Here you find the car was originally built in the 2nd week of December 1967 and has had a clear bunch of upgrades. the car now sports a 355 Ci Chevy small block V8 engine with a Mooneyham supercharger, Twin Carter AFB Competition 750 CFM Carburetors and a 350 Turbo Hydramatic transmission.
The engine bay sounds like its other host of other upgrades across the board from distributor, ignition box, MSD Coil and Hedman Headers to name but a few, along with power steering and Wilwood disc brakes showing that this number has had a real restomod job across the board. The rear end has 3.55:1 gears which apparently cost $6K in itself. It would be good to know if this Nova comes with any type original documentation as it’s always nice to know what the original configuration was when it rolled out of the factory.
The interior is a custom job with bucket seats and the same attention to details the engine bay. This all rides on Black American Racing 17” Wheels and Federal Super Steel 595 High Performance Radials. The question now is this Nova worth the asking price of $32,500.00. What do you guys think?
