1966 Chevrolet Promotional Video: The Most Insane Ever

Saying that they did things in the past differently from today is an understatement. By today’s standards the lack of health and safety and just go for attitude meant more danger for the drivers, but more thrills to see for the audience. This is the case with this 1966 Chevrolet Promotional Video where you have the Joie Chitwood Hell Drivers and the like performing stunts and tests on vehicles to push them to their limits.

Chevy are showing here everything from a basic chassis car performing a stunt jump along with other vehicles, quarter-mile blowouts and even some futuristic designs in the form of a multi-fuelled Turbo Titan turbine rig. Basically, how far can we push these vehicles to their breaking points. You even get a rock test which shows what happens when you go full whack then slam a car in reverse. Everything here to show what the Chevys of the day can do.
