1965 Ford Mustang Restomod/Restoration By Roadster Shop

There are plenty of restoration videos on YouTube, but few that show a complete start to finish build from a pro shop. Although this video is labelled as a restoration, it’s more of a restomod build but the processes are more or less the same, you just get to see here the latest and greatest part been fitted.

The 1965 Ford Mustang is been revitalised by roadster shop who specialise in custom builds. The Mustang is being shown as it is arguably the most common muscle/pony car, so will hopefully look the most familiar.

The vehicle they have to start with doesn’t work on the surface like the worst out there, with an interior still in reasonable shape and no major rust or pounds of dirt to dig out of the frame. In any case, with a restomod build everything will be taken back to the frame before turning it into the magnificent Swan it is yet to become.

The Mustang renamed the ‘Vapor’ eventually went on to win the Ford Design Award at SEMA 2016. If you skip ahead to the end of the video, you can clearly see why with it’s luxurious interior, exterior and best of the best parts. It’s just a shame there is no voice-over to give you an exact rundown of everything that went into this vehicle. Nevertheless, you get a first-hand look at how a base vehicle gets turned into one of the finest restomods on the road.
