1961 Chevrolet Corvette Gasser: Right or Wrong?
Fuel Injected 502 CI, 4-Speed.
It’s never a surprise how peoples’ opinions can differ over certain vehicles.
The 61 Chevrolet Corvette Gasser was sent in by one of our readers, from an old Mecum auction listing. I thought, ‘cool!’ a cross between a gasser and an old Corvette.
I showed the car to a colleague who is a massive Corvette fan and they recoiled at the images like I had put ammonia under their nose. They thought it was an abomination to wreck what would be an amazing looking example of a 61 Corvette….hmmm.
There will always be a difference in opinion between those wanting to keep a classic car in its original shape with all original factory parts and those that want to basically do enhancements, a restomod, pro Tourer or in this case, a gasser.
What you all think of this creation? should have been kept in original condition or is amazing as you see it now?
