Ford manufactured 1,676,448 cars in 1957, around 230 were optioned with the F-code supercharged V8.
From those cars, 193,162 were Fairlane 500 four-door sedans, and just one of those was F-code equipped.

FORD ADVERTISED THE FORD ENGINE TO HAVE 300 HORSEPOWER, HOWEVER INTERNAL DOCUMENTS INDICATE FORD BELIEVED THE ACTUAL HORSEPOWER TO BE 340 AND PAXTON (THE SUPERCHARGER MANUFACTURER) SWORE 360 WAS THE PROPER HORSEPOWER RATING.
