A Vintage Corvette Goes Up In Flames

This video over at abc7.com shows a rare classic red Corvette going up in flames in Encino, Los Angeles.

Firefighters eventually put out the blaze, but as you can see the extensive fire damage was already done.
According to Haggerty, the car was worth more than $100,000.

This isn’t to sensationalise a rare classic being destroyed, but rather to give a heads up to prevent this happening to your own classic ride. Check, doublecheck and quadruple check, everything that could possibly cause a car fire, from electrical systems, leaks or even gas spills.
If you don’t already, buy a fire extinguisher for your classic. Basically, everything you can do to stop a catastrophe like this one.
Prevention is better than cure as they say.
