‘Top Gear’ UK Season Finale

The last in the new season of UK Top Gear ends with Rory Reid’s Scottish Highlands joyride in a 1967 Mustang.
It’s great scenery to see the humble Mustang chewing up the roads in the Scottish Highlands, but this episode is also the last one to feature Chris Evans as a presenter.

There has been much media speculation building up to this season, ever since Clarkson and co. were ousted from the programme and who would be the new presenters.
Now, one has already gone, but that doesn’t mean the UK version will follow the US Top Gear in being cut.

Top Gear has been on the screens of the UK for many, many years. It’s had a host of presenters over this timeframe, some not lasting very long. It’s just for over a decade, the British public has got used to the last three presenters, almost like family members. This is why there was so much fall out via the media when they left. Most couldn’t imagine anyone else presenting the show.

So, now it’s really about getting used to the new team and seeing if they gel.
From this point, only time will tell, but don’t bank on Top Gear going away any time soon.
