The 2017 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport: The Ultimate Allrounder?

The new 2017 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport was revealed at the 2016 Geneva auto show, being the entry model between the Corvette stingray, Z51 and the Corvette ZO6.

The new Grand Sport will take elements from both the Stingray and the ZO6, giving the best of both worlds.
The engine will come from the stingray Z51, in the shape of a naturally aspirated 6.2L LT1 with 460 HP, with a wider body, wider wheels and breaks from the ZO6.
Other items borrowed will be the active exhaust, electronic limited slip differential, magnetic ride control suspension and a choice of the seven speed manual transmission with active rev match or an eight speed paddle shift automatic transmission.

The new Grand Sport has been revitalised from top to toe with exterior enhancements including a ZO6 style grille, Brembo six piston calipers, with 14 inch rotors upfront and four piston calipers at the back.

Collectors edition of the Grand Sport will be available in an exclusive Watkins Glen Gray Metallic paint with Tension Blue hash-mark graphics, satin black full-length stripes, and black wheels.
The interior will feature a full leather and suede coverage and other subtle design features, such as a 3-D original Corvette grand sport on the headrests.

The whole package can be configured to your exact liking, making the permutations almost endless.

Let’s remember this is already super and most would agree the best all around Corvette ever built. Recently, I tested a red Z06. I am a big guy at six foot three and 265 pounds and I fit in that car perfectly. There was nothing I wanted to change on that car at all. The only thing I wish GM would do is put this one in my garage for a year.
