Sox & Martin Team 1971 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Pro Stock Goes To Auction
One of the most famous drag racing cars driven by one of the most legendary drivers Ronnie Sox, is to go to auction at Mecum Indianapolis, this May.
The car was personally inspected by the now passed Ronnie Sox, team manager Buddy Martin and fabricator Dave Christie.
The car became special when Sox won six of the eight final rounds of NHRA Pro Stock and won five IHRA titles and two open events with the car.
The car is being created to allow mild forward movement of the wheelbase to create the exact NHRA legal balance of 48-percent front/52-percent rear weight distribution.
The car has a 1971 Road Runner rear wheel houses, full roll cage and a 4 to 6 Hemi engine, with aluminium twin plug Chrysler cylinder heads, dual quad intake and and dual Holley Pro Stock-designated carbs. This runs through a an A833 4-speed manual transmission to the Keystone Klassic wheels.
In total, an incredible car that is estimated to fetch between $850,000 – $1,100,000.
