Roush Release 710 horsepower Jackhammer Mustang
By Dave Ashton
Roush Performance have released a special edition Ford Mustang called the Jackhammer amongst their other Mustang offerings, which will give you 710 horsepower and 610 pound-feet of torque with a little help from the Roush’s TVS 2650 supercharger. The setup is built on a donor Mustang GT which you must supply, with only 200 examples being eventually built.
The Jackhammer Mustang houses all the components deep in the engine bay, machines the front engine cover, with the supercharger being installed at the dealership. Also fitted are adjustable coil over suspension, new Ultra High Performance Continental ExtremeContact™ Sport tires, gloss black wheels, low-temperature radiator system components, Extreme-Duty Half Shafts, height adjustable Performance 1-Way Coil Over Suspension System, “JH” Strut Tower Brace, High-Flow Upper Grille with “JH” Badge, Hood Heat Extractors, roush badging, 6-speed manual or 10-speed automatic transmission amongst others.
Although only available in fastback form, you do have some other options available, such as Ricaro seats, Performance 3-Way Coil Over Suspension, upgraded exhaust package, Top Performance Stripe, Billet Performance Pedals and Quarter Window Scoops. The cost comes in at $14,765 with a five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty.
With a Mustang GT already capable of 460hp with a 0-60mph time of under four seconds, the increase in power to 710hp along with the other upgrades should make for some interesting performance videos in the future.
