Essentially, everything that a Dodge Charger fan could want from a 1971, except for the price.
As they say, it’s the sign of the times.
Anything rare that starts to fetch high prices at auction, trickles down to other sellers and prices rise.
You cannot blame the auction houses, you can’t really blame the sellers as everybody would do the same, it’s just more of a bitter pill to swallow when you’re old enough to have seen these vehicles a few decades before almost being given away.
But, you could argue that’s the name of the game.
Wonderful news for the people selling the vehicle that they are worth this much, but not so good news for someone buying the car.
On the positive side, think how much these vehicles will be worth in another 10 years.
It just means that now if you want a Dodge Charger and a late 60s or early 70s example and you don’t have this sort of budget, you will have to look around for either a project car or something you are prepared to work on.
This example is now in the investment category, but the main takeaway is at least these vehicles are now as prized as they should be.
