Ford Performance Division Track Attack Review

One of the perks of buying a vehicle through the Ford Performance division is that you can take part in a free full days driving instruction at their racing school. This applies to owners of the Shelby GT350s, 350R Mustangs, Focus RS and STs, Raptor pickups and Fiesta ST.

The teaching schedule takes place in Salt Lake City, Utah when you get to use a track ready version of your vehicle with tuition from highly experienced instructors called Track Attack. The campus includes two racing tracks with pits and race control towers and like any quality racing program teaching and information is paramount.

The one day tracking classroom experience gives plenty of theory and practice to build high-performance driving skills, braking and cornering techniques and correct driving posture. Most of the driving performance centers around the ‘Voodoo’ 5.2-liter V8 GT350 transmission revving up to 8,00 rpm+.

A ‘lead and follow’ lap familiarizes the the drivers will be one of two tracks, letting them get used to be corners, entry points and subtleties of each. The driving days and just limited to the track also a slalom course set out with cones to test your maneuverability and also a specially equipped Ford to test out ‘contact patches’ for testing out under an over steer.

The whole day gives you a thorough outline everything you need to know to be track efficient in your performance for and as long as you can make your way to Utah, this one-day event is something not to be missed. There are also paid for courses at the school which range from two day events to race rentals.
