Is The Ford Mustang Bullitt Making a Return In 2018?

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson posted a video on his YouTube channel recently which may have hinted at a new Ford Mustang Bullitt in the works.

The Rock posted a videoto his YouTube page which was filmed at Ford’s headquarters give some very quick glimpses of some designs and a modified version of the sixth generation Mustang GT, possibly implying a new Bullitt vehicle. the designs were first spotted by the guys at the Mustang 6G forum which you can see at roughly the three-minute mark in the video and show a S550 Mustang Bullitt with Dark Highland Green paint, dark torque thrust wheels and faux gas cap with crosshairs.

The sketch board also reads ‘S550 Mustang MCA’ which in for terms means ‘Mid Cycle Action’ or in layman’s terms a midcycle refresh for 2018. After the 2001 and 2008 editions proved so popular, it’s probably about time a new version hit the streets.

The original 1968 Steve McQueen film ‘Bullitt’ which features a Mustang GT and a Dodge Charger R/T, is still one of the movie world’s most iconic car chases and with the film coming up to its 50th anniversary in 2018, a launch for this year make sense.
