To begin with, this is not the original, but a Factory Five Racing replica of the original 1965 Shelby Cobra Daytona. The benefits here being a modern-day interpretation, with the most up-to-date features.

An original one of these will set you back ridiculous money and if you consider the amount of work and patience that is going to build such as this one, it’s safe to say that you’d be hard pushed to build it yourself for less.

The bodywork has ‘a 1-piece, hand-laid Vinylester shell that was laminated to 3/16ths’ Ferrari red 2 stage paint and Graphite racing stripes.
Under the hood you have a 6.8 liter LS3 Generation IV small block with 9.5 to 1 compression, producing 820HP and 713 lb./ft. of torque. The 2.9 liter Whipple supercharger sits above a Callies forged crank, Callies H-beam rods and Mahle alloy pistons and a a Mast 3-bolt Core Cam.
A factory-style serpentine system provides all the air conditioning you will need.

The interior follows the same lines of quality with custom leather throughout and 5-point Simpson safety harnesses all put together by New England Trim of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts.

Yes, this ride has a high pricetag, but as the original is completely out of reach and Factory Five Racing , having a reputation which means the car will hold its value all adds up to an impressive customer ride. It’s just a case of if this is your thing.
