Fate Of The Furious Increase Muscle Car Awareness With $1 Billion At Global Box Office
By Dave Ashton
The latest installment of the Fast and Furious franchise, ‘Fate of the Furious‘ has only been released a few weeks and is already breaking records. The movie which features The Rock and Vin Diesel has made $532.5 million in its first weekend and is now close to racking up $1 Billion.
There doesn’t seem to be anything stopping the excess of FF but one of the main advantages of the franchise is its ongoing ability to push muscle cars to the masses both classic and new. The latest installment shows off the Dodge Demon to good effect, along with some of the usual muscle car stables such as a version of Dom’s classic Charger.
Just like the Transformers movies help bolster sales of the Chevrolet Camaro, the FF franchise has invigorated the muscle car world and that’s a great thing for all those who love this slice of the automotive world. Dodge have even hooked up with Vin Diesel in its latest promotional videos, showing the close bond between Dodge and the Fast and the Furious franchise ongoing.
It’s hoped that the kids of today that have posters on their walls of the latest FF franchise will be the guys and gals of tomorrow driving muscle cars and keeping the breed alive.
