Exclusive New Features in the New 2018 Ford Mustang

Ford have released their 2018 Mustang with a whole host of changes which up to now, not all pleased the fans out there. The hood has been re-sculpted and lowered with a redesigned grille, got rid of the V6 engine options leaving a 2.3 L four-cylinder eco-boost and 5 L V8, both having a six speed manual or a 10 speed automatic transmission.

Other additions to the 2018 Mustang include an optional active valve exhaust that can run almost silently or be set to give the full sound of the V8 engine, Ford’s MagneRide suspension which was previously only available on the Shelby GT350, with internal upgrades like a 12 inch digital display. There will also be a new rearview mirror with a frameless design similar to the one in the Chevrolet Camaro. There will also be a Mustang logo on the steering wheel for controlling the instrument cluster, such as Track Apps, launch control and line lock function for doing the pre-requisite burnouts.
The smaller, leaner looking headlights look like they have small air intakes which are really just for show with vertical slits on the front fascia to create air curtains around the front wheels. The transmission will have a new twin disc clutch and dual mass flywheel to improving clutch feel, with new gearing and to overdrive for better acceleration and economy.
The changes are said to have been a reaction to the latest Camaro in part, but we wait to see if the new Mustang can match up to its competitor.
