Dodge Viper ACR vs. Porsche 911 Turbo S Showdown

On the surface these two driving animals are complete polar opposites, with the Dodge Viper ACR being probably the most unlikely track winner up against arguably one of the fastest track ready daily drivers in the form of the Porsche 911 Turbo S.

Both these vehicles have been tuned with the Dodge Viper ACR having Arrow Racing Engines cylinder heads, upgraded cam set up, exhaust headers and exhaust. The tuning on the Viper has also had an ECU remap. The Porsche 911 Turbo has also had an ECU remap with AMS-supplied turbochargers.

This type of race seems to be on the surface comparing apples with pears but what these two fantastic vehicles do have in common is a bloody mindedness of sticking with one concept and developing it as far as it can go.
