Could Dodge Produce A Track Version Of The Challenger Hellcat?
By Dave Ashton
The Dodge Demon has whipped up the appetite for many Challenger and Charger owners to soup up their own versions, so it would be no surprise if Dodge started producing a huge array of factory performance parts very soon. The Dodge Demon with its 840 hp is too limited an edition for them all to hit the dragstrip, so it’s more than likely Challengers and Chargers with factory performance parts will slowly trickle down to the masses.
There are rumors of a wide body Challenger this summer, which could mean special editions of the Challenger in the near future. this will take over from the position of the Viper and call into action a track ready machine that could match up against the Camaro ZL1 1LE or the Mustang Shelby GT350.
An SRT Hellcat has been spotted recently wearing the Demons wide fenders and front fascia, which could indicate these factory parts coming out sooner rather than later.
