Chevrolet Release the New Camaro GT4.R. The Best Track Focused Vehicle Yet?

It’s been hot news recently for General Motors Chevrolet as they introduced the Camaro ZL1 1LE  and Camaro Z/28 recently. But not to rest on their laurels, it seems that there is now a GT4 spec version, which will be Chevrolets first GT for the world.

Chevrolet have worked closely with Pratt & Miller to create the Camaro GT4.R , which makes are eligible for competition in the IMSA Continental Tire Grand Sport class and Pirelli’s World Challenge GTS class amongst others. Having a vehicle that can sing the brand’s praises on the track is as important now as ever. The Chevrolet Camaro GT4.R should debut at the Pirelli World Challenge, St. Petersburg, Florida very soon with Blackdog Speed Shop planning on entering two Camaro GT4.Rs for the race driven by Tony Gaples and Lawson Aschenback.

The Camaro GT4.R will feature a 6.2-liter LT1 V8 engine with a dry sump connected to a six speed Xtrac sequential transmission. This is fed to a limited-slip Xtrac differential, adjustable traction control, dynamic spool-valve dampers and huge Brembo brakes.
