Best Muscle Cars
American Muscle Cars: Back And Here To Stay.
The big three muscle car makers are arguably at the top of their games in 2016, all producing models which are selling more and more each year and becoming ever more powerful and refined.
The Chevrolet Camaro, Dodge Challenger and Ford Mustang Sold more vehicles in 2015 than ever before, a 21% increase over 2014 sales, showing that the public’s interest in the muscle car is only increasing.
Although these are only a fraction of the sales compared to the 60s and 70s, the competition between the three makers to make ever better vehicles and produce something which will compete in 2016, is the driving force here, pardon the pun.
As Chevrolet are about to announce the release of new ZL1, Dodge building on the Hellcat Platform and Mustang now going worldwide with right-hand drive models, it’s looking like the big three are starting to take on the sports car and even the supercar market, for a fraction of the price.
Where is all this leading? Since 2005, where the modern era of muscle car started with the S197 Mustang, bringing together muscle car sensibilities with modern technology. The mixture is getting ever more refined up to the present day.
Will we see some of the other muscle car models come back, such as the Plymouth Road Runner or even a Superbird, only time will tell.
In total, muscle cars are back and here to stay, fielding some of the best muscle cars ever produced.
