The Amazing 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Transformed.

Ticking off our ultimate car from a bucket list, is one of the most satisfying things in life. Gregg Hamilton, after moving from New Zealand to America wanted a, ‘Smokey And The Bandit’ Pontiac Trans Am.
‘I always wanted a V8, manual, rear-drive—and then there was Smokey and the Bandit,” “When I moved here to America, I realized this is the only place in the world where I can really own one.’ says Gregg Hamilton.

Having gained experienced with some of the best world Rally championship teams in the world, Greg bought the Trans Am from Ebay, which had an Oldsmobile V8 engine linked to an automatic transmission. He replaced the powertrain with an LS V8 engine and strapped on two turbochargers for good luck.
The body was widened, an upgraded custom engine computer and revised suspension and brakes make it as quick as a Z06 Corvette.

The sumptuous video makes the Pontiac look incredible. As Greg states in the video, It’s about the whole car what it represents to him, not just the way it drives.

Not too bad the somebody who’s day job is spent building and testing Ken Block’s favorite machines.
