8 of Chevrolet´s Greatest Engines Ever Made

Chevrolet have been responsible for some of the best motors to ever be dropped in a vehicle from roadgoing cars to bona fides racers. This video goes through eight of the best from vintage to modern day.

The video starts with a 1969, ZL1 427 powered Camaro. Having an aluminium intensive construction and being 100 pounds lighter than a big block gave all the attributes needed to be the muscle car of the time. The 427ci. (7.L) continues up to the last engine listed in the Corvette racing C6.R which won 39 times in the GT1 class from 2005 to 2008, 12 consecutive wins from 2005 to 2006 and 25 succeeding wins from 2000 2009.

One or two the engines featured such as the 1.6 L turbocharged in-line 4 from the Chevy Cruze may not be a fullbore firebreathing V8, but it does give you an idea of the breadth of engines produced by Chevrolet.
