1968 Ford Mustang Break Sport Wagon

The Ford Mustang is one of the most iconic cars in America, so it’s no surprise that when an unusual model is discovered or hits the headlines it’s always the center of curiosity.

When a station wagon version of the Mustang comes out, it triggers a lot of speculation towards if these are the real thing or just customs. At this point it seems that these are just prototypes for a Ford Mustang Break Wagon where one was built for the WJ advertising agency and another by Bob Hoshiko who is a California Mustang and Shelby restorer at the time, inspired by an initial story in Car and Driver in October 1991.

The issue of Car and Driver stated that Ford styling chief Eugene Bordinat already had two internal wagon proposals at the time, but rejected both.
