1965 Ford Mustang Base Coupe Needs Full Restoration

What seems at first to be just a shell of a Mustang, does look more complete on further inspection.

This one currently available to
buy on Ebay, has a straight six cylinder engine, which has clearly seen better days, but everything seems to be there to be stripped down and brought back to life. If the thing runs or not is not clear, but the ad. says the car was driven into the garage five years ago, so there maybe potential there.

The car initially looks like it doesn’t have a front-end, but this seems to come separately, probably needing a little bit of coercing to get it back in shape and on the car from the looks of things.

The car clearly has evidence of internal rust, especially in the rear quarters, which looks like extensive welding will be needed. There are also some signs of bondo being used here and there, so somebody has attempted some work in the past.

The interior initially looks okay, but looking more closely the seats will need upholstery and probably as much restoration as the exterior.

The good news here is the asking price of only $1900 but with the price this low you can bet your extra money will have to sink into repairing the bodywork.
However, at this price you could almost afford a gamble on this Mustang, especially with this Mustang coming with the engine.
