Can A 2016 Camaro SS Blast Past A 2016 Shelby GT350?

On paper you would think the Mustang would always have the edge here.
The Mustang has a 5.0 L flat plane crank V8 with 526HP and weighing 3,796 pounds. The Camaro SS has 455HP, weighing 3,966 pounds, but the Camaro has the quicker 0-60 time of 4.1 seconds.

Comments coming in attribute many factors to the Camaro getting the edge here from the Mustang being more a track car, so is better suited to higher revs, while the Camaro has a better 8 speed auto transmission, the Mustang having a 6 speed manual.

In reality, both cars have their good and bad sides, its just a question of what are your preferences if you buy. Out of the blocks speed vs. higher top end speed.
