Find of the Day: 1968 Pontiac GTO Convertible

It seems this 1968 GTO convertible was found in a plane hangar recently in this state you see it here.

It doesn’t sound like it has the original engine, presumably the 400. The rest of the car seems in original condition.

It needs an extensive restoration with the ad. saying at present it needs completely new brakes, fuel system, belts and hoses before it is roadworthy. I think that’s at the least.

It seems the floors and trunk have been replaced sometime in the past and now has only superficial rust.
From the images, it looks like it needs a good restoration, but at least it looks relatively solid throughout.

It has bucket seats with console and his/hers shifter. you may need to replace the quarter panels and other metalwork, but it really depends on what you want to do with this car.
The seller recommends it would make a great winter project, but anyway you take it, it will make you a great ride.

For the asking price of $16,500.00, this 1968 Pontiac GTO is worth checking out.
