This is a very rare and unusual 1972 Mercury Montego Cyclone.
The ad doesn’t come with much information, apart from it was a test car for Ford, which includes a deluxe Marti report and is all original condition.
The engine has been rebuilt with some internal upgrades, such as a 460 crank, forged pistons, mild cam and increase compression.
The cyclone model wasn’t really produced after 1971, so this is only a handful of vehicles with the same crosshairs incorporated into the grille, modeled after the previous body style Cyclones. proper emblems considered decals were used on the cyclone and there is no option list for this particular model. which means at this point it is a Montego, unclear if it is true Cyclone.

Comments for the add also say that as a Montego, it is probably one of 50 vehicles.

So, this vehicle is ultra-rare example, and one to note for the Montego fans, it is just unclear if it is true Cyclone…..hmmm.
