Super Easy Cam Swop On a Junkyard 454!

Well, not exactly super easy, I was taking the lead from the headline from the super chevy.com article, ‘simple cam swap.’
The last time I even attempted to do any work on a cam in an engine, I ended up nearly crying like a little child, I just don’t have the patience. So it’s good to see a build rundown of guys who have all the right kit to make this a straightforward process……and the patience.

But it’s not just work on the cam. They replace the valves, adjusted valve clearance, due to a new high lift cam and ended up with a junkyard engine that could possibly do an 11 second quarter-mile.

Moral – a cam and valve swop will do wonders to your engine. Also, if you have the money, get someone else to do it!
