8 Great American Muscle Cars Wagons

To many a true muscle car is a two-door machine with a huge V8 engine. But what if you wanted something a bit more practical with more cargo space but still had muscle car power? A wagon is the answer.

These were made back in the day where a muscle car front end was essentially fused with a wagon rear to get both power and utility in one package. Australia and New Zealand took these vehicles to heart producing over the years a vast array of ‘utes’ becoming cultural icons with models like the Chevrolet El Camino, Ford Falcon, Holden Belmont/Kingswood and HSV Maloo R8 Ute which hit a record breaking 168 mph (271kmh).

This video shows eight American wagons which came from the classic era of muscle cars. Like many of these videos it doesn’t show you every wagon produced, but enough to give you a insight into these creations along with the engine types used in each vehicle.
