428 Cobra Jet Cougar Eliminator vs Chevelle SS396 Drag Race

This is a matchup between two of the finest from the golden era of muscle cars.
We have a fine Mercury Cougar Eliminator versus a Chevrolet Chevelle.

The Kruger is less well known, but has arguably the more potent engine. The Chevelle has a 396ci. L78 with 375HP engine, but its reputation can’t be argued with.

Once both cars launch to quite respectable times, but the Chevelle gets there, just that bit faster at 12.54 Seconds at 113mph, with the Cougar coming in 12.86 seconds at 110mph.
