2019 SEMA Muscle Car Highlights
By Dave Ashton
The SEMA 2019 car show has now been and gone with the expected array of fantastic custom builds and jawdropping vehicles. As per usual, the show was cram packed with all types of muscle cars ranging from the vintage to the brand-new. Custom builds to the latest and greatest.
Chevy had a good turnout this year with plenty of first-gen Camaros, Novas and Chevelles, along with some odd creations such as the 1959 El Camino, known as ‘Hulk-Camino.’ Mr. Mike Finnegan from roadkill fame displayed his 1955 Chevy, called ‘Blasphemi’ which was displayed on the MotorTrend booth in the Central Hall, while their were more contemporary build such as Hennessey’s Camaro ZL1 ILE ‘Resurrection’ which sports a huge 1,200HP.
Other top mentions include the Ring Brothers Camaro ‘Valkyrja’ which won the Battle of the Builders competition as seen below. It’s apparently the most expensive build from the guys and sports a 416Ci. V8 and 2.9L Whipple Supercharger, through a Tremec six-speed manual and produces a whopping 890 horsepower.
As with all these things, it’s much better to check out some overview videos to get a flavor of the show. Thus, check out some of the videos below to get an idea of the range of vehicles that was on show this year. We’ll be bringing you more news as it drips in, so remember to check back regularly.
