2018 Ford Mustang GT Long Tube Headers & Active Exhaust Sound Comparison

The 2018 Mustang GT with Active Exhaust has adjustable exhaust flow and sound through one of four modes: quiet, normal, sport and, track. Since this optional factory exhaust can be tuned and adjusted to the driver’s preference, many 2018 GT owners are forgoing cat-back exhausts in favor of headers or other exhaust modifications, to retain their factory active exhaust and its functionality.

Using Corsa’s 1 7/8″ long tube headers, Steph Wood, equipped with a decibel meter, measures the changes in volume for all four modes while comparing the difference to stock exhaust manifolds, side-by-side.
