2018 Demon VS Hellcat Drag Race

Dodger are unique in the fact that they have produced two of the best modern muscle cars in recent years. The Hellcat in Charger and Challenger form which has 707HP and 650 lb-ft of torque out-of-the-box and then the limited-edition Dodge Demon Challenger with 840HP and 770 lb-ft of torque. Both having 6.2 L supercharged V8 engines.

Both vehicles try to keep the ethos of a pure muscle car and with their huge power ratings will obviously be compared to their nearest contemporaries. But what is just as interesting is to put them side by side on the dragstrip, bone stock and see what they can do. This is the case in the video below.

Both do respectable times for stock vehicles, but as you would guess the Demon just inches forward at 9.93 seconds at 136 mph (corrected) while the Hellcat did 11.34 seconds at 122 mph (corrected). The Demon also seemed to be on its skinny front tires, while hellcat wore drag radials.

The temperature was a factor with a DA of +1800 feet the Demon didn’t use its TransBrake for launching, so a rerun better conditions would also give an interesting outcome. Anyways, check out the very short video as it’s definitely interesting viewing.
