A 2017 Mustang Shelby GT500 Maybe On The Way.

A 2017 Ford Mustang GT500 maybe on the cards, with an official Ford GT500 page set up Ford’s website.

The Ford Mustang, which is probably one of the most iconic pony cars of all time, released its sixth generation model in 2015 and now a GT500 may be on the horizon.

A sixth generation version of the Mustang Shelby GT350 has been launched, but now rumours of a Shelby GT500, which had previously been shown in spy shots looks a reality for 2017.
No official statement has been released as yet, but doing a quick Google search gives an unofficial Shelby GT500 webpage from Ford – http://www.ford.com/cars/mustang/trim/shelbygt500/ which up to now only has the 2017 regular models of the Mustang, but the GT500 url seems more of a giveaway that a GT500 is possibly due to be released next year.

With 2017 fast approaching and if the GT 500 is to come out next year, then Ford may possibly get eyeballs on the car at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show or the the 2017 Chicago Auto Show.

Powertrain rumours a twin turbo V8, moving away from superchargers and could push the power up to 700-800HP.
