The 2017 Camaro ZL1: Can It stack Up Against The Hellcat and GT-350?

The top 3 muscle car makers of Dodge, Chevrolet and Ford are still duking it out after all these years, but the question here is, can the 2017 Camaro ZL1 be the best all-rounder for next year.?

This video from 4 wheel online says that the new ZL1 isn’t just taking on muscle cars, but also the sports car fraternity, which means impressive stats will be needed around to uphold this statement.

The new ZL1 has a supercharged LT4 6.2L V8 small block with 640 HP and 640 lbs. ft. of torque, 60 more HP and 200 pounds less weight than the previous version. This gives the 2017 ZL1 a 0 – 60 time of 3.9 seconds.

The sheer horsepower ratings still doesn’t beat the Dodge Hellcat at 707 HP and while the Shelby has 526hp, it still has enough for most applications.

Horsepower and torque are only part of the equation with all the muscle models now producing sports car performance and taking on most competitors, it will be interesting to see how they all fair in the coming months.
