If you’re a child of the 80s like myself, the DeLorean car is cemented in our psyche due to the ‘Back to the Future’ movie franchise. Not just being a vehicle, but a potential time travelling machine. That’s a strong emotional mix for a certain generation, but to everybody else, the vehicle is an ultra-limited edition product of the famous car designer John DeLorean who had a hand in producing many of the classics at GM motors.
One of the standouts of the DeLorean car was it’s bare, all stainless steel body which fitted the futuristic look at the time. This particular example is in great condition, with low mileage and the only seeming downside is the interior trim, with rips in the dash and seating.
Admittedly, someone who buys into a Delorean dmc-12 will probably be a fan of the original movie franchise. More than anything it’s quirky features such as the gullwing doors will not appeal to everybody but the end of the day this is a limited edition rarity and with its inextricable link to one of the classic movie franchises of the 80s, it’s probably a vehicle not to be missed.
