1980 Camaro Berlinetta By Abraham Bean
‘This is my 1980 Berlinetta. It’s been thru a few engine combos. Everything from a V6/th350 to 350/4 speeds to the current 406- Muncie.’
The engine is a long rod 406cu. with Scatt crank and rods. Comp solid cam 244/252@.050. I’m using GM Performance Large Port Vortec Race heads (not production heads) that flow 276 on intake side with a RPM intake and Holley Hp 750 dbl pump. It’s mated to an eleven inch clutch and a Muncie backed up by a Chrome Molly driveshaft and a built 3.90 geared 8.5 with aftermarket axels and c-clip eliminators.
The car has all power acc. Not stripped. And weighs 3650 w/ me. Runs 11.90’s at 116 mph.’
