1974 Dodge Challenger wheelie in slow motion

This is a great slo. mo. view of a 1974 Dodge Challenger wheelie in slow motion taken at the Santa Pod 2010 eurofinals.

The car has a 72ci Wedge motor, weighing in at 3850lb and capable of doing mid 9 second runs.

To take on the sheer force of this mighty car rearing up and dropping back down to the floor, the guys improved the bump steer by replacing parts and and resetting the camber / castor. Basically, upgrading the full front-end to take the sheer force.

Watching this in slow motion really gives you an idea of not only the power of the car, but also the forces it has to contend with.
