1971 Plymouth Barracuda: As Good As It Gets?

Instead of the usual barn finds or restoration projects, we thought we would feature an investment piece in the shape of this 1971 Plymouth Barracuda.
This one comes with a numbers matching big block 383 V8 engine, not one but two broadcast sheets and comes in Winchester Gray paint and 7,219 on the clock.
The car is said to be a complete restoration job with every nut and bolt being restored and presumably brought back to factory condition.
You don’t seem to get any back history with the listing, but the images clearly show the documentation along with things like color palettes from the time and a complete code breakdown.
As you would expect, everything looks sumptuous and spotless on this Cuda and being at top dollar you’re allowed to be as picky as you like here.
You get a nice spare tire in the trunk with the addition of an audio system and even the addition of close-ups of the VIN tags with what looks like even brand-new screws.
There seems to be a small touch of surface rust around the VIN tag which will need to be investigated.
The underside shots show a spotless vehicle, as is the same for the engine compartment and interior which has all period correct features from the steering wheel to wooden dash.
So this is a 383 V8, numbers matching with broadcast sheets, full restoration but no mention of any rare options, apart from the code list, but it would be helpful to have these down as text in the listing.
At just shy of $90,000 – $89,900, this is the top end of the muscle car category, so some obvious haggling will be needed here and further investigation into the car’s back history before you dive in.
In any case, it’s great to see one of these old rarities in such fine condition.
