1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 racks With 350,000 miles

If the car doesn’t impress you, the story behind it surely will.

Peter Scofield is the lucky owner of this Calypso Coral 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1, which he bought back in 1985 with around 89,000 miles at the time. The car is used regularly and now has 350,000 miles clocked up, showing that with the right amount of maintenance over the years, these old classics can keep going.

Why has he kept the car so long? “It’s in your face,” he says. “It’s from a time when American cars, in particular, were really flamboyant and they wanted to stand out.”

The paint job is also quite rare in Calypso Coral.
In total, this car is obviously cared for to the max., But it shows that with the right care and attention, this will probably still be on the road in another 40 years.
