1970 Chevrolet Nova Barn Find
Engine: 307ci.
Transmission: 3 Speed Manual
Mileage: 48,445
Current bid: $5,600.00
The Chevy Nova is a classic of the muscle car world, this one being in storage for 30 years in a very dry environment, now primed for a restoration.
The car was purchased in August 1970 in Southern Arizona and has definitely benefited from the environment. A dry, hot climate means one of the biggest enemies of muscle cars, rust has been kept at bay and it’s a solid car body that counts in restoration projects.
The car is said to have had new tires, new battery and new filters and is currently driveable, but does have a smoke problem, possibly due to residue Marvel Mystery Oil. The engine may only be a 307ci., but it still has potential and is currently runnable.
The interior looks fleabitten, but mostly intact. Some OEM upgrades and second-hand parts could be enough to get this one back in shape. The exterior Marlboro Maroon has almost disappeared, but its current Rat Rod look is quite appealing and this route could be one option for the next owner.
Considering its price and rust free body, this ride could be just the one to shortlist if you’re looking for a project for the next year.
