Transmission: Automatic.

‘I was told when I bought the car it had a rebuilt 396 engine. I put less than 500 miles on it since I’ve owned it. It has a 400 automatic transmission and 12 bolt posi differential, I believe with 411 gears (very steep) not good high way gears.’

‘ (This is not a numbers matching car) The motor and transmission is long gone. ‘

‘ It is painted bright red now but it is not the original red color. The original color was garnet red.’

A very forthright ad. to this 69 Chevelle SS. I think the seller wants to confirm that it is a real ‘SS’, but obviously if you are interested, you need to check out all the documentation.
Yes it’s a 396 in a Chevelle SS, but for Chevelle heritage, it is worth considering.
