1969 Chevelle Convertible 454 LSX, 720 HP
A few changes in the right areas, always makes the difference.
This 1969 Chevelle Convertible started with a need for a Vintage Air unit to be installed and a full set of custom gauges, which ended up with the engine being upgraded to an LSX 454 from Don Hardy Racing Engines.
Other upgrades then followed like custom ported 12 degree heads and an 8 Stack injection setup from Inglese.
The car already had a fine set of features, such as the Tremec TKO 600 five-speed and a Ford 9 inch rear, a full Roadster Shop chassis with Wilwood Disc brakes.
All this adds up to 700 hp car which is good for both the quarter-mile and a regular driver.
It proves the point that there is no reason now for not having a car with old school looks and modern components to get the performance of today and the unique looks of yesterday.
