1965 Shelby 427 S/C CSX 4000 50th Anniversary
By David Ashton
This Shelby is a limited edition from Shelby American to celebrate its 50 year anniversary.
50 models were produced and sold out within minutes on Tuesday, January 13th 2015.
Everything on this ride mirrors the original vehicle, from the exterior to the powertrain and everything in between.
However, there are a few differences. Special badges are used on this vehicle along with different materials for the seats, carpets and dash, along with a 23 double fuel tank, powder coated frame, racing brakes and custom gauges.
So, the question here is if a limited-edition is worth $399,000 pricetag, especially not been original, but a reproduction.
With only 50 of these being made and coming from Shelby American, they will at the least hold their price, but reproductions are always a bit of an anomaly when it comes to pricing.
Investment grade material, definitely.
